Our Story...

Babylon A.D. formed in 1987 and hail from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Founding members, Derek Davis vocalist/songwriter, guitarist's and music writers John Mathews and Ron Freschi and newest members drummer Dylan Soto and bassist Craig Pepe have just released a new album on Apocalypse Records, distributed by  Perris Records. Managed by Malla Entertainment

In 1989 "Babylon A.D." caught the attention of Arista Records President and industry music mogul Clive Davis who signed them at a live showcase to Arista Records.

The bands 1st album, the self titled (BABYLON  A.D.) was released on Oct 3rd 1989.

The album included their hard rock classic hits "Bang Go The Bells”, “Hammer Swings Down” and “The Kid Goes Wild”, which featured Screaming "Sam Kinison" and was the trailer song and promotional video for Orion Pictures (ROBO COP 2). The band scored three #1 songs at Metal Radio and spent 38 weeks on the Billboard top 200, peaking at # 46.

Their sophomore effort (Nothing Sacred) was produced by the legendary "Tom Werman" and released in 1992, it produced two more top-ten metal rockers, “Bad Blood” and “So Savage the Heart”. Constant touring throughout the early 1990s and several MTV videos made them one of hard rock fans favorite bands. Babylon A.D. have released 10 albums to date. The band has just finished a string of exciting shows that began in May this year with the release of their new album with highlights including The ‘Whisky Go A Go’ in June and ‘Monsters On The Mountain’ in August in Gatlinburg Tennessee. They are currently booking shows for 2025!

"The energy that Babylon A.D. put into their new album as well as their live shows is unmatched. They have found a perfect sonic mix of nostalgia, energy and a modern touch. Watching Derek Davis live on stage is like watching someone launch out of a rock n roll cannon! The energy and passion are awe inspiring."

"This is a record that sounds just like the band back in the day, full of fire, wonderfully heavy and firing on all cylinders: with guitar and vocals that haven’t lost a thing over the decades. Some bands come back with a bang, it seems that Babylon A.D. has just gone Nuclear."

" 'Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day' by Babylon A.D. presents the San Francisco-based band in their finest hour! Definitely the soundtrack to the summer of ‘24 and well beyond. It is sure to enrapture melodic hard rock fans all over the world, and a candidate for any Top

Ten List of the Year."

"Babylon A.D. definitely rekindled the romance of their earlier sound with 'Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day', while not resting on their laurels by delivering a modern and vibrant sound incorporating a bit of nastiness, elegance and old school head banging!"
